But… its’ the inside that counts. Many websites really look beautiful on the outside. Some sites have these amazing flash introductions that are so incredible cool.. and pretty to look at.

However… there is just one problem. Many of these sites are truly expensive… thousands of ollars I may add. And besides being incredibly expensive, many of these flashy sites did not have search engines in mind when these were built.

Now my favorite slogan is… “Who cares about your beautiful and extremely cool website…. because it cannot be found online” If a website is not search engine friendly, it cannot be found online. As stated previously, this is truly bad for business.

It truly is what is on the inside that counts. Content on a website is king.. as well as having important backlinks from high ranking pages.  Many sites I see online are built with frames.. and these are very bad for search engines. There are so many other things that create a search unfriendly page, however, I do not want to spend all day talking about this.

 As a web designer and search marketing specialist here in Palm Beach County Florida, I am amazed at the people that I talk to that have absolutely no idea what search engines are…..none.  I have to educate people on the importance of local search marketing, in addition to having a search friendly and keyword rich site.

It is better to build a house that is structurally sound the first time, rather that rebuild it after realizing that the structure was fundamentally flawed from the beginning.
