Help.. I Am Too Tired To Add Content To My Website!

Okay.. well we all are pressed for time. I certainly understand that it is hard to find time to add content to your website. You will, however, have to find time. each week.. or every couple days to add some new content to your site. If not, your rankings in the SERP’s (search engine results page) will not be very good.

Your website needs to be dynamic.. constantly changing.. with added backlinks from other relevant sites. Without this, your website is going to be a static fixture on the web.. and continue to go down in the rankings.

You must care for your website like you care for everything else in your life that is important to you.  Write in a blog that links to your site.. write some relevant articles and link these to your site as well. As a small business owner in Palm Beach County, I get 80 percent of my business from the internet.

Do not neglect your website. Keep it an interesting, dynamic, resourceful place for visitors to go to. Your business will depend on it.

SEO Must Start Before Website is Built

An SEO News Source in the UK  wrote an article about the important of performing SEO (Search Engine Optomization) while a site is being built.. and not having it redesigned so it is search engine friendly.

What the article discussed was that an individual must have a site built with SEO in mind at the beginning stages. It is sort of like building a car that is fuel-efficient. The automobile manufacturers create the design, builld, and specifications of a car to be fuel-efficient before it even reaches the assembly line.

This is the same thing when designing a website. The website must be designed properly, without frames, without replication.. and with proper keyword text tactfully sprinkled throughout pages in the site. These keywords must already be in the title tags, metatags, and global browser description.

I believe that keyword research should be done before the site is built.. knowing the top 5 keyword phrased right from the get go.

Remember that having a beautiful, eye-pleasing website is great.. however.. if nobody can find it.. what good is it!

Local Business Must Start To See The Online Trends

I talk to local business owners in Palm Beach County Florida all the time. Many do not even have a website for their established business yet. In 2008, these Palm Beach Business  owners must start to recognize the trends. Having no online local exposure is like kissing 65 to 70 percent of potential local business goodbye.

There are also those Palm Beach County business owners that have an expensive fancy website that nobody can find, having no local keywords with a poorly designed structure.

In 2008 this is unacceptable. It is not difficult to make it to the first page of Google for a local business. There is no reason why a local business should not have a presence for a local search a given type.

This is not an expensive proposition… and highly necessary to compete in Palm Beach County or any other local area worldwide.

Every Business Owner Should Know Something About Promotion of Their Website.

As a web designer and search marketing specialist here in Palm Beach County Florida,  I am truly amazed at the lack of knowledge and education about site promotion. I talk to many people who tell me that they have a beautiful website… that just sits there.. idle. on the web. A stagnant site… with no added content, no links.. and of course… no traffic.

Okay.. So My Website Is Not So Flashy On The Outside… But..

But… its’ the inside that counts. Many websites really look beautiful on the outside. Some sites have these amazing flash introductions that are so incredible cool.. and pretty to look at.

However… there is just one problem. Many of these sites are truly expensive… thousands of ollars I may add. And besides being incredibly expensive, many of these flashy sites did not have search engines in mind when these were built.

Now my favorite slogan is… “Who cares about your beautiful and extremely cool website…. because it cannot be found online” If a website is not search engine friendly, it cannot be found online. As stated previously, this is truly bad for business.

It truly is what is on the inside that counts. Content on a website is king.. as well as having important backlinks from high ranking pages.  Many sites I see online are built with frames.. and these are very bad for search engines. There are so many other things that create a search unfriendly page, however, I do not want to spend all day talking about this.

 As a web designer and search marketing specialist here in Palm Beach County Florida, I am amazed at the people that I talk to that have absolutely no idea what search engines are…..none.  I have to educate people on the importance of local search marketing, in addition to having a search friendly and keyword rich site.

I wanted to start a blog about the importance of a search engine friendly website that can help small businesses locally.  It is very important for small businesses to have a web presence. Many business owners have very poorly designed websites that look pretty but are not very search engine friendly. In addition, most people do not have any idea how to market their site online.

The two main consequences of the above issues are 1) No search traffic.. and 2) No business.

Please remember that 65 to 70 percent of people.. if not more are searching online for a local business or service. You can have an online presence with a simple, clean, search friendly website and some local search marketing along with it. 

It is so important not to lose out on the majority of your customers by only sticking with the yellow pages.  You want to have local  online traffic to your website because it is crucial to your business success or failure.
